Much of my studio work is shaped by a deep sense of place, particularly the prairie and foothills of Colorado. These landscapes—defined by wind, seasonal change, restraint, and endurance—inform my approach to observation, color, rhythm, and form. Rather than depicting place directly, the work carries its influence through structure, texture, and attention to living systems. Species, patterns, and materials become ways of listening to the land and translating its intelligence into visual and material language.
